Epic has revealed the final teaser image for Fortnite’s upcoming Season 8 release. The image features a banana on a red and orange background. Combing today’s image with yesterday’s teaser creates a volcano at the bottom that is spewing out ash. The ash forms a skull. The image was posted on the official Fortnite Twitter account with the following text:
Explore the world Challenge your fate Unearth the secrets Adventure awaits. Season 8 starts tomorrow!
The previous teaser images have been released every day since Sunday. The images have been very effective at building hype, with many users offering opinions on what items and locales will be introduced in Thursday’s update.
Season 8 Teaser #1
The first teaser was released on Sunday and featured a pirate’s hook. Players instantly speculated that Season 8 would feature a pirate’s theme. In the background of the image you can see cracks, just like in the map. Here is what Epic had to say about the first teaser:
Awaken beasts Of fire and ash Battle it out And loot the stash. 2 days to Season 8.
Season 8 Teaser #2
The second teaser showcased a serpent, coiled and ready to strike. Keen-eyed players up the first image with the second to create what appeared to be a skull. Epic included the following message in it’s Tweet:
Within the cave…
But beware of those
Who arrive on waves.
3 days to Season 8.
Season 8 Teaser #3
Things really started to open up after the third release. This image features a ‘fire dragon’ of sorts. Some users speculate that the tier 100 Battle Pass skin will be a dragon. Looking closely, you can see that at the bottom of the third image a volcano is formed. When combined with the other two images it becomes clearer, a volcano is spewing out ash and lava in the shape of a skull. The third teaser included the following text:
Of fire and ash
Battle it out
And loot the stash.
2 days to Season 8.
