Fortnite's controller players are on the rise.

Fortnite’s mouse and keyboard players have dominated both competitive play and Twitch since release. But, that’s starting to change thanks to rising talent and expanded in-game controller settings. Fortnite’s upcoming World Cup will showcase the world’s best players, many of which play on a controller. Here are some of the top Fortnite controller players along with their setups.

Upshall

Upshall is a rising Twitch streamer who got his start on Youtube. He has competed in several official Fortnite tournaments including the Summer Skirmish. Like many controller players, Upshall started on the PS4 but switched to PC for better performance.

Note: Upshall plays using the claw grip, and some of his settings are catered to that.

Aydan is considered by many to be the top controller player world-wide. Aydan is a regular on the competitive scene and has participated in major Fortnite LAN events around the world. Like Upshall, Ayden got his start on the PS4 before transferring to PC play.

No article about controller players would be complete without mentioning NICKMERCS. Nick paved the way for controller players in competitive play. Before entering the competitive scene, Nick gained fame in the world of high-dollar Fortnite wagers. Like our previous controller players, Nick started on the PS4 and switched to PC. Nick regularly squads with Twitch megastars Ninja and TimTheTatman. Unlike our previous two entries, Nick uses a Scuf controller with his jump and build commands mapped to paddles.
