Time is quickly running out for Fortnite fans to complete the Ice King challenges. The Ice King challenges have been live for 8-days now, and players have about 12-hours left to complete them as of this writing. The event will officially end at 3AM EST on Tuesday.
Many players on the developer-supported /r/FortniteBR sub-reddit have complained about the lengthy playtime required to complete the challenges. The killing of 20 Golden Ice Brutes has been a hangup for many.
Late last week Epic announced that they were altering the spawn rate of the Ice Legion. The change prompted more Ice Legion to spawn in early game and less to spawn in late-game. Prior to the change more enemies would spawn in the later stages of matches.
Players who complete the Ice King challenges will be rewarded with the Blue Metallic wrap and the Winter’s Wrath glider.
The Ice King challenges are available free to all Fortnite players and were introduced with new Ice King LTM’s that featured heavy fog and a snow-blanketed map. The event is very similar to the Halloween-themed ‘Fortnitemares’ LTM that was previously featured.
